Pixie Tricks is a book about a girl named Violet who is trying to trick pixies and send them back to the "other world". Pixies are little fairies that have powers. One day Violet was singing "seven more pixies to go". When she got home she saw a pixie sitting on her dresser. Its name was Ragamuffin. Ragamuffin really likes socks and her clothes do not match. The way to trick her is to make her wear clothes that match. So Violet went to her toy box and found a pair of clothes that matched. So Violet and her friend pixie named Sprite didn't trick Ragamuffin, but they thought they did. You'll have to read the book to find out how this happened.

Next they went to the school fields with Violet's cousin named Leon. That's when they met another pixie named Sport. The way to trick Sport is to beat her fair and square at a soccer game. So Violet joined the all girls soccer league in hopes of beating Sport.

The next day Violet tricked Sport and sent her back to the other world, but when she got home Ragamuffin was there again. Violet and Sprite were able to trick her and send her back to the other world. Violet is constantly trying to trick pixies so that they can be sent back to the "other world". She is kept very busy!

My favorite character in this book is Sport because she wears cool clothes and she is very fast. She plays in a soccer game and helps the team that Violet is playing against. She goes behind the ball and pushes it, and the people on the field don't know who is doing it, because Sport is so fast she can't be seen. Nobody knows Sport is there except Violet and Sprite. This is a funny part of the book.

My favorite part of the book is when Violet tricks Sport. She tricks her by saying Sport's name backwards. It makes Sport slow down, and Violet can then stop all the goal shots that Sport is making in soccer. Sport disappears because she was beat fair and square.

I would recommend this book because it is funny and fun to read. I really enjoyed it. Trying to trick pixies is a really tough job.
