The Boxcar Children: The Woodshed Mystery

In the book The Boxcar Children, The Woodshed Mystery by Gertrude Chandler Warner, the main kids, Benny, Violet, Jessie and Henry Alden are trying to solve the woodshed mystery. This is how it all began. Benny, Violet, Jessie and Henry are very excited to hear Aunt Jane is coming to live in a nearby barn that used to be Mr. Alden and Aunt Jane's. While Henry, Jessie, Violet and Benny are exploring the forest they find a small woodshed. When they open the door they find furniture all around it. When they go to tell Sam about the woodshed all the furniture disappears! They find two secret rooms: one in the potato pit and one in the seller of the woodshed. When the Alden’s find Andy and they, hey – that’s all I'm going to tell you!

The Boxcar Children, The Woodshed Mystery is an amazing adventure! There aren't many pictures but when you see one it looks amazing! For example, my favorite picture or drawing was the old house because it looks so detailed and amazing! My favorite part was when Benny named what each gem the Alden’s wanted. I liked it because I thought it was a little odd but at the same time really neat! I think the book is so interesting it's not even funny. One part that really got me attention was when the townspeople kept saying the house was spooky. So, I asked myself, what's so scary about the house? I had to read to find out!

I would recommend this book to people who want to work on their perseverance. One reason why is because Benny, Violet, Henry and Jessie never gave up on their mystery to find out who lives in the woodshed even though it is hard for them. Also I would recommend this book to them because part of perseverance is cooperation and the kids cooperated a lot. Lastly, they were really determined to find out why the house was so spooky. I think you should really get this book, if I were you I definitely would!
