Magic Tree House: Civil War on Sunday

I read the book, "Magic Tree House: Civil War on Sunday", by Mary Pope Osborne. It was about a boy and girl named Jack and Annie. They have a tree house in Frog Creek Woods that brings them to any where they want. They went to the Civil War and met a man called Dream Boy. He seemed to look a lot like Jack. They also took care of wounded men. They were with a lady that was a nurse. They went to pick up the wounded and bring them to camp. Next they went to the tree house to get home for dinner. When they got home they had dinner and went to bed. Jack asked if he had any family fight in the Civil War. His dad said yes.

I really liked the book because there was a lot of rescuing of people. There are lots of pictures showing scenes from the story. There was a picture of three army men laying down under the tree shade. Jack and Annie were my favorite characters because they are really good at saving people.

The book is probably for fourth and third graders. This is like many of the Magic Tree House books. The people who like this series should also read this book.
