Emily is a normal girl with loving parents and a home. But when her parents are killed she becomes an orphan! She is sent to live with her aunt and uncle that own a huge nursing home called Sugar Hill Hall. But when Emily's aunt picks her up she seems to be a serious, poor stranger that is nothing like the jolly person Emily used to know. Emily finds out that her aunt is a prisoner in her own house! The mansion has been taken over by an evil woman named Mrs. Meeting. How will Emily save Aunt Twice, Sugar Hill Hall and herself?

I liked this book because it had twists, turns and unexpected surprises. My favorite part is the surprise in the end of the book because it was very exciting. I like Emily's character because she is adventuress and stands up for herself. This book is unique because it makes you feel like you are in the same room as the author described.

I recommend this book because it will leave you on the edge of your seat, wondering what will happen next. I recommend this book to people who like surprises too. You might like this book because it has a good plot.
