If you like country style books then read the book The Haymeadow by Gary Paulsen. The reason why I am telling you this is because I read it and it has the best characters and the setting sounds wonderful. Also it was spectacular. It has killings and dogs that tame the sheep to stay in line. The dogs are mountain ones and lived on a farm since they were born. The main characters are John, Grandpa, Ted and an old man.

The characters in the book are hilarious. They were interesting, because they taught ways to help animals. I didn?t think they were believable because they were never serious. One character was John. He was thirteen years old and helped out on a farm with his dad. I only had one favorite part. It was when the snake bit the lamb. I liked that part because snakes are cool and I don?t like sheep. I think sheep smell horrible.

As you can see you would have to read the book and you would definitely finish it. If you would ever want to read this book you would be able to get it at a local library or probably on the internet. I learned that there are a lot of ways to help animals and there are certain doctors that help. I would recommend this book to other people because it is a book that you would never want to put down. The kind of person that would like this book is one that likes reading and has the time. This was the best book ever.
