Across the Wide and Lonesome Prairie

In my book, Hattie Campbell and her family must travel to Oregon for a better future. They do this by traveling on the Oregon Trail. There are 15 other families. Along the way, they face many dangers like poisonous plants, wide rivers, and Indians. There are many good things like a wedding, dances, and little babies. In the end, everything turns out great, even better than everyone thought.

I liked it because I like history. I like learning about history while reading fiction because it's entertaining. I also like adventure. My favorite part is when they are crossing a river and a baby is born because I love babies. And the family was already traveling to a better life so this baby would have a good future. This makes the book hopeful, which I also like.

I would recommend this book if you like history or realistic fiction.:)
