The Canary Caper

Has your pet ever been stolen? In this book four pets were stolen, which led to a bigger crime. Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose had a sleep over at Dink's backyard. The next morning Ruth Rose found out her cat was missing. They also heard that Mrs. Davidson's canary was missing. The kids reported the two missing pets to the police officer. The police officer told them that two other pets were missing. The kids wanted to help find the missing pets so they worked with their friend, Officer Fallon. While looking for the pets, they found out there was a bigger crime behind the pet caper.

The ending is good because I am glad to see that the thief is caught. My favorite characters are the kids because they are smart and good at asking relevant questions to help solve the mystery. The illustrations are great and help me picture the story and its characters. Ron Roy was very good at writing books with details and setting up the plot. The Canary Caper was an interesting book because first it made you think the story was about missing pets, but it really was about a bigger crime.

Do you want to know who stole the pets and how it led to a bigger crime? Do you want to see how the kids solved the mystery? If you do, you should read The Canary Caper. I recommend this book to people who like to challenge themselves and solve mysteries. If you enjoy teamwork, you should also read this book. You might like this book if you like pets.
