Tornadoes

This story is about tornadoes.Theodore Fujita, a scientist originally from Japan, made the Fujita Scale of tornado intensity. The Fujita scale is used to tell what level a tornado is. The scale contains six levels, from F-0 to F-5. Very few tornadoes reach F-5 strength. Of the 25,000 tornadoes recorded in the United States between 1916 and 1979, Dr. Fujita rated only 127 of them at F-5.

I like this book because it taught me about tornadoes, about the Fujita Scale, and why we need it. Tornadoes can reach up to 318 MPH winds. The scale would tell you that you should go to another location because you might be killed. I would recommend this book to others who are interested in tornadoes and weather.
