Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Harry is brought up by his mean aunt and uncle. Harry’s bedroom is a cupboard under the stairs and he has never tasted sugar. When he is 11 years old a letter appears in the mail and the letter says that he can go to Hogwarts, a school for witches and wizards. When he gets there, the fun begins!

I think it’s a great book and full of surprises. The author includes lots of details and suspenseful parts to the book.

This book is good for 8-10 year olds. It is sort of like the A to Z Mysteries series. Like the kids in the A to Z Mysteries, Harry Potter has adventures as stumbles upon secrets that lead him to find out more about people at Hogwarts. This book is hard to put down.
