In this story a family is going on a bear hunt. They are outside and going through the grass and the river and the forest and into a cave. Inside the cave there's a bear. They got scared. Then they went back through all those places and back to their bedroom and hid.
I think that it was funny because they were scared of a bear and that is what they were looking for. This reminds me of first grade when we read this book and did the motions to go with the story. My favorite character was the dog because he was so scared when they were in the water before they even found the bear. I like this book because you can pretend to go on a bear hunt too.
I think that second graders will like this book because they could act it out and pretend to go on a bear hunt. It might help them learn what to do if they go on a real bear hunt.
