The Mysterious Matter of I.M. Fine

"No!", she screamed, running wildly, slamming into the picnic table and plunging into the shallow end of the pool." Kids all over the world are reading the Chiller Series by the so-called author I.M. Fine. All of the kids who are reading these books are buying gummy worms, getting down on the floor and slithering like a snake and getting exploding headaches. The question is why? The main character, Franny, thinks the author is behind the mystery but first she needs to gather some information. At the end, the author does something very unexpected. To find out, you have to read the book!

I enjoyed this book because Franny is unpredictable. She doesn't think before she acts and you never know what she will do next. One time Frannie broke into a house and stole a tape. I wasn't sure if this was a good idea. Frannie reminds me of me because sometimes I do things without thinking and sometimes I regret it. Once I flicked a piece of meat at my sister when she was annoying me and my mom got mad at me. I just didn't think first. I find this book different than other books because the bad guys change from bad to good in the blink of an eye. If I tell you exactly what I mean it will ruin the story!

I recommend this book to kids ages 9 - 11 who like mysteries. This book has lots of suspense. I loved it and so will you.
