Matilda

This story is about a smart little girl, and her family is kind of dumb. She has to go to school late. Her family was really mean to her. Then one day at school her mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, came into her classroom and she tipped over a glass on top of her teacher Miss Honey's desk. But Miss Trunchbull said it was someone else. So she realized that she had powers. She practiced everyday. At the end of the book, she got adopted by Miss Honey, and never had to live with her real mother, father, and brother any more.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked it a lot because it had to do with people who had powers. My favorite part of the story is when she found out about her powers. I like shows and movies that have powers. Another part that I like is when she gets adopted by Miss Honey because she doesn't have to see her mean old family again, and now she has a nice mom. My favorite character is Matilda. I like her the best because she was a nice and smart girl, and because she put up with her family even though they were mean to her. Matilda became braver in the book because she was afraid of the Trunchbull at the beginning, but she stood up to her at the end.

I recommend this book to kids and teenagers that have bad parents that don't treat them good. That is who I recommend this book to.
