The Cricket in Times Square

This book is about a cricket who lives in Connecticut and falls into a picnic basket and accidentally gets sent to New York. He mets some creatures, Tucker the mouse, and Harry the cat. The cricket is named Chester and he is owned by Mario Bellini. Mario's family is poor. Chester becomes a musician because he plays good music and everybody likes him.

This book was good and I never wanted to put the book down. My favorite part was when Chester rang his bell when Tucker was sleeping on a bed of money and Tucker jumped up and yelled, "HELP! FIRE! MURDER! POLICE!" My favorite character was Tucker. I liked him because he was funny and nice.

I liked this book and I recommend this book to kids who like adventure.
