Flat Stanley

Ready to get flat? In flat Stanley, Stanley's bulletin board fell on him. All of a sudden he turned flat! Now he can slide under doors, and others can roll Stanley up and carry him. One day he went to the museum and saw Mr. Dart in the elevator. Stanley said, "Why are you so sad." He said he was sad because last night robbers came and stole a picture from him. So Stanley had a good idea. He dressed up in a costume and nailed himself in a picture frame. He dressed up in a sheep girl costume. It was late at night when all of a sudden he heard a creek. It was the robbers! They were there to steal the most famous painting in the whole world, but then Stanley called out, "Police, police, Mr. Dart, Mr. Dart." The police and Mr. Dart came and arrested the robbers. Stanley was in the newspaper with the captain of police. He was a new hero! After a while, people started to tease him and call him, "Super thin show off." One night his brother heard him crying and asked him, "Are you ok?" Stanley said to go away. Stanley was sad because people were teasing him. Will Stanley ever be fat?

Stanley is an interesting character in the book. Stanley is interesting because he is flat. Stanley got flat when his bulletin board fell on him. Now that Stanley is flat he could slide under doors, be a kite, or rolled up and carried by his dad. I wish I could do the things that he can do. I really enjoyed Stanley's character!

My favorite part of the book was when Stanley caught the robbers. Stanley saw Mr. Dart in the elevator. He was sad because the robbers stole a picture. Stanley thought of a good idea. He helped Mr. Dart catch the robbers. One robber said, "Screaming pictures, I need a rest." Mr. Dart had him arrested. This was my favorite part because it was funny. It made me laugh so loud that my sister told me to be quiet. This part was flat-tastic!

I recommend this book to people who like funny fictional stories. I think people who wonder what it's like to be flat should read this book.
