Happy Birthday, Martin Luther King

Martin Luther King was born on January 15, 1929. When he grew up, he helped people. He stopped some people from fighting. And he told us to pray. Martin Luther King was a good man for our country, and he told us to be nice to one another.

I like this book, because the illustrations are really good. After the illustrator colored the pictures, he scraped some of the crayon off. My favorite part is when he plays football with his Dad because I play football with my Dad on the weekends. This book is similar to "Good Afternoon Martin Luther King", because it is the story of his life.

I recommend this book to second and third graders because I think that they can read it, and I think other second and third graders will like Martin Luther King books, too.
