This book is about a cat that comes to a house. He has been there before and made a big mess. He comes back to the house and makes a mess again. The kids are not supposed to have anyone there because their mother is away. They are supposed to be cleaning the snow away. They are scared about what their mother will say.
I like how Dr. Seuss made the story rhyme. He said, "I can clean up these rug spots before you count three! No spots are too hard for a cat like me!" The cat says everything in a rhyme. I like how he is always smiling. The fish is always saying "No! No!" but no one listens to him. He is the one who is trying to be good in the story.
I think this is a good story about following the rules. Children will like it because it is scary to think that the kids might get in trouble. Adults will like it, too, because it teaches kids to follow the rules.
