This book was about a gingerbread that jumped out of the oven early so he was a gingerbread baby. He ran out of the house into the snow onto a cat. Then a dog smelled a delicious smell and tried to catch the gingerbread baby. He climbed a fence to get away. Matti read a book because he wanted to make a gingerbread house. Then the gingerbread jumped on some goats and he stopped to take a drink and tied two girls hair braids together.
Matti was making a shape of a house while the gingerbread is still running away over a wagon and a pig and he jumped real high. Then the gingerbread baby said "ha, ha, you can't catch me." He had everybody running after him. The story ended when all the people saw crumbs in the snow and the people were sad but the gingerbread was found in his new house.
My favorite part was when the gingerbread baby was in his house. I really like that you can open the gingerbread house in this book.
I liked this book because the fox almost caught the gingerbread baby and that was funny.
My Dad and Mom should read this book to me because I don't know how to read good.
