This is a book about a girl named May who always really wanted a dog. She asked her parents for a dog but they said "No". She wanted to prove that she could be responsible for feeding, walking, and playing with her dog. She practiced by dragging her roller skate around a lot and she pretended that it was a dog! Other people started doing the same thing as May. We can?t tell you the ending of the story because we want it to be a surprise.
The real message of this story is to prove you could take care of a pet.
This is a very perfect book to read. It reminds us of always asking our parents for a dog but they say "NO!" It gives us a picture in our heads when we read the words. We would recommend this book to people around the world.
