This story is about a baby bird that cannot find his mother. When he hatched his mother was gone. He knew he had a mother but he didn't know where she was. He looks for her and he meets a kitten. He asks, "Are you my mother?". The kitten just stared at the baby bird. He kept on looking and asked a hen, a dog and a cow if they were his mother. They all said no! Will he ever find his mother?
This book reminds me of when I was a baby because my mom used to read this book to me. It is still my favorite book. My favorite part is when the mother bird is sitting on the egg. The egg begins to move and the baby bird is hatched. This is my favorite part because the little bird was pouting when he noticed that his mom was gone. I like the little bird because he is funny. He kept on asking different animals if they were his mother. When he met a big snort, the snort brought him back to his nest and the mother bird came home.
I would recommend this book because it is good and entertaining. Children ages 6 and 7 should read it because the baby bird keeps asking animals that don't even look like him if they are his mother! I think children will laugh at that.
