Horrible Harry and the Christmas Surprise

The story is about Horrible Harry and his classroom, 2B. The teacher, Miss Mackle, was reading a Christmas story to the students from her rocking chair, when her chair broke. She fell and hurt her knee. She had to be in the hospital for the holidays. The class had to do their activities and play without her. Horrible Harry kissed Song Lee on the cheek and had to write an apology letter to her and stay after school. Horrible Harry wanted to makeup for being bad so he gives a rocking chair to his teacher as a gift. He painted spiders and ants on the chair's legs and students names on the rest of the chair. He wrote "Miss Mackle's Reading Chair" on top of it. The students sang a song outside of Miss Mackle's window an she was very happy.

I liked this book because it was a good story and it was fun to read. I like the part when the class was singing to Miss Mackle, but my favorite part was when Miss Mackle fell out of her chair. I liked Harry because he turned out not to be so horrible. Harry reminds me of a kid in my class named Julius because sometimes he gets into trouble.

I recommend this book for kids who like surprises and who like fun books to read. Kids who are between six and ten would like this book and find it easy to read.
