Annie's cat was acting differently than usual. One morning, Annie could not find her cat anywhere. Annie began to look for another pet. She was lonely without her cat. Annie left corn cakes at the edge of the woods but the animals that came to eat them were too wild. They wouldn't make a good pet. There's a surprise at the end of the book.
If you like animals, I think you will like this book . I like the illustrations. The border tells you what comes next. I thought it was cool the way all the animals came out of nowhere and Annie wanted one. I recommend this book to people who like animals.
