Chester's Way

This book is about Chester, Wilson and Lilly. Chester and Wilson were best friends. Whenever Chester played baseball Wilson would play too. Whenever Chester was really hungry Wilson was hungry too. But they rarely eat between meals. Chester and Wilson, Wilson and Chester. That's the way it was. At first Chester and Wilson were having a great year but then Lilly moved in the neighborhood.

There is a lesson in this book about friendship. It doesn't matter if you play with a girl or a boy.

You should read this book to find out how Chester and Wilson became friends with Lilly. I think Kevin Henkes used pastels. He wrote Owen, Chrysanthemum, Sheila Rae the Brave and other mouse stories.

I liked this book because it has a lot of details like the way Kevin Henkes makes the mouse eyes. I like Chester because he is a good swimmer and baseball player. It reminds me about me and my friend Kevin because we are good swimmers and baseball players.
