This book is about a kid named Charlie. He found a golden ticket in a chocolate bar, so he got to go into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. There were four other gross and nasty kids who got a tour of the factory, too. They saw lots of incredible candy. One by one, every kid except Charlie got into trouble and lost.
My favorite part of the book is when Mike Teevee was sent by television. I think it would be cool to be sent by TV. I also liked the part when Violet said she kept on chewing the same gum for three months. I thought that was funny. My favorite character in the book is Mike TeeVee, because he watched a lot of television, and I do too.
I recommend people to read this book because Charlie started off as a poor kid and then he becomes one of the most famous kids in the world. You should read it if you can read well.
