There was a boy named Willy who lived in Wyoming. He lived with his grandfather and dog named Searchlight. The boy loved his dog but they had problems with money. His grandpa gave him his college money to enter the dog race. He wanted to win $100 but there's a problem. Maybe something happened to Searchlight?
I liked the story because it's a great story for me and you. It has many chapters with lots of details. It's good for detectives because there's a mystery in every chapter.
I recommend this book to students in pre-first and 3rd grade because it has interesting character names. My favorite is the dog Searchlight. I don't recommend it to dramatic people because it has sad parts.
