Philip Hall Likes Me, I Reckon Maybe

"It is my turn!" This is a book about a girl named Beth Lambert and her best friend Philip Hall. Beth is a girl that likes her best friend and thinks he feels the same way about her. They both get into a lot of jams and end up grounded, but "friends are friends forever" they always say! They get into fights with each other all the time too, but they always work it out. They have a lot of fun playing together, but sometimes their fun goes a little too far! One time all they were doing was going to their clubs (they both run their own club.) One is for girls and the other one is for boys. When the Pretty Pennies (Beth's club) were in a meeting the boys showed up. They challenged the Pretty Pennies to a relay race that Sunday. When they do that the Pretty Pennies are not sure if they want to do it, but being the Pretty Pennies and the boys thinking that they are better they could not resist. They end up knowing that no one is much better than the other.

I was really surprised when I read the book and found out that Philip Hall is her best friend. It is a great book because Beth and her family sometimes go too far about telling the truth. Her whole family tells it like it is and nothing but that. When they go too far everyone knows it. This is a pretty funny book because her sisters and friends are really funny. My favorite character is Beth's sister because she thinks that she is better than Beth.

I would recommend this book to anyone that likes to read stories about various things, such as mysteries; friendships and a little of that person's life at the same time. This is a very funny book most of the time. It is a great book for anyone who really likes to read. This book teaches you that no one is good at everything - just some things.
