Looniverse: Meltdown Madness

Have you ever had an exciting plan, but everything turns out to be weird and strange? Well, if you have, you can read Looniverse Meltdown Madness. It’s about this kid who’s name is Ed. Ed wants to be on the school soccer team, but has to sell chocolate to raise money for the soccer shirts that all the soccer players wear. When Ed walks home with his friend, Moose, it is blazing hot outside. Ed understands that picking chocolate was a big mistake. When Ed walks by the playground, Moose’s brother Mouse comes running and asks if Ed wants him to run the box of chocolate home for him. Ed says yes. Mouse is very strong and fast. He could get Ed’s chocolate home in no time. When Mouse runs he runs at a record speed. That is as fast as the light! Will Mouse get the chocolate home in time? Read to find out.

I think Ed is smart because he put his melted chocolate bar in the freezer so it could become a chocolate bar again. It didn’t work, but it was a good idea. He is also unlike any other child because weird things happen to him all the time. For example, when he joked about the Three Little Pigs, there appeared to be three real pigs in their house. I think this book was good but could add a little more action.

I recommend this book to kids from second through third grade that like funny and strange books. If you ever wanted to be on a school soccer team, you might also enjoy this book too.
