T.J. always wanted to be the pitcher for his team, but he was all ready playing second base. In the book, T.J. asked his coach if he could try out for pitcher after practice. The coach gave him a chance. T.J. showed the coach what he had but it was not enough to strike anybody out. T.J. had to think up another plan, which leads to an exciting ending to the book. The book takes place in the year 1996 in America.

This book is really good because it was about something I really enjoy, baseball. It was so good that I was able to finish the book in a couple of hours. I would recommend this book to anybody who enjoys baseball or any other sport. The lesson in this story was to never give up and to try harder.
