The Gadget War

Do you know what the word “war” means? If so, you should read The Gadget War. Kelly is one of the main characters and a new kid named Albert is the other main character. When Albert came to school he started being mean to Kelly because they both wanted to be scientists and fix people’s problems. This started a war against each other using gadgets that they built. You have to read the book to find out what happens at the end!

This is a good book because Kelly is one funny character. She is my favorite character. In one part of the book Kelly built a food fight catapult. Kelly got a carton of eggs and then she put one egg on the food fight catapult. Then she splatted the egg on her head! My favorite part was at the end when Kelly and Albert became friends.

If you like wars with gadgets, then I would recommend this book. I would also recommend this book to second and third graders that like funny books about friendship.
