The book Afternoon on the Amazon is about two kids that go on an adventure to the Amazon Rainforest. The names of the kids are Jack and Annie. Jack and Annie have to get something to save their friend Morgan from people that captured her. Do they find what they are looking for? You should read this book because it takes you on a great adventure!
I thought the story was very interesting. The interesting thing was that the mouse was helping them! I like the book because kids could enjoy this book. Another thing is that kids can go on adventure and explore with the characters. My favorite part was when Jack and Annie were hiding from the ants. One character that was like me is Annie because she was adventurous just like me.
I think this book is good for kids in grad 2nd through 5th. It takes you on an adventure and has a lot of scary and suspenseful parts.
