Katie and the Cupcake Cure

This book is about a girl named Katie Brown who loves baking cupcakes. She is starting middle school. On the first day of school, Katie saw her best friend Callie with other girls. They were supposed to take the bus together but Callie has joined the PGC (Popular Girls Club). Katie feels left out and misses her best friend. However, Katie meets a new friend named Mia. They make two new friends, Alexis and Emma and they start the Cupcake Club. The Cupcake Club has a bake sale as a school fundraiser and it is a big success.

My favorite character is Mia because she is kind, fashionable, and brave. I think that Katie and the Cupcake Cure is good for second to fourth graders. I like this book because sometimes I feel left out. This book teaches you that you can always make new friends.
