Where are the rides? If you are looking for a mystery book, then check out Cam Jansen and the Mystery of the Carnival Prize by David A. Adler.
To begin with, the book starts off with detective Cam, her best friend Eric and their friends the twins are going to help with a carnival. The carnival is going to help the fifth grade at their school raise money for the library. But it turns out something fishy is going on at the carnival. Everyone is winning at the Dime Toss, which is normally the hardest game around! When something like this happens, Cam becomes suspicious and wants to find out what is happening. Cam notices that the same person keeps winning, but is always dressed in different clothes. Her photographic memory helps her collect clues.
In addition, we liked reading this book. The biggest reason we like it is because this book is a mystery book. Our favorite part is when Cam and Eric were chasing a girl on a bicycle! We liked this because it was an action scene which made the book more exciting. The same scene also reminded us of when we play tag at recess. This is because we chase each other in tag just like when they chased the girl.
In conclusion, we recommend this book to children of all ages. It would be fun to read together like we did!
