Mr. Putter and Tabby Write the Book

Do you like to read? Then you might enjoy the book Mr. Putter and Tabby Write the Book by Cynthia Rylant.

Mr. Putter writes a book but it’s not really easy to do. So he keeps trying to get out of writing and eats a snack, takes a bath, or takes a nap. Finally, he just gets sick of writing a book so he just starts writing about his favorite things. My favorite part was when Mr. Putter starts thinking of a bunny that reminded him of Easter eggs so he made boiled eggs and a big round cheeseball for Tabby.

In addition, I enjoyed this book because I thought Mr. Putter’s cat Tabby was interesting because she cares for Mr. Putter. Mr. Putter cares for her too. So that’s why she cares for him. Another reason is Mr. Putter does fun things with Tabby while writing the book like cooking together. This book is part of a series. This book is similar to the other books in the series because they always do things together. There is also a unique part of the story. There is snow! But they can’t go in the snow because they are too old and might get sick. Since I live in Florida, that was really interesting to me.

I recommend the book because they have good scenes. I recommend the book to seven and eight year olds. You might want to read all of the books in this series!
