On a cold, foggy night four boys went out to sleep in a barn. They were scared of the dark and the noises, but they pretended not to be.
My favorite character is the little boy who tells the story. He was scared. He wanted to take his dog Amos along, but his older brother would not let him. My favorite picture shows when a cat ran between his legs in the dark barn. I liked this story because one night my friend Carlie and I slept out in a tent and my dog Zeke kept us safe from the coyotes.
Kids who have slept outside at night should read this book.
