“George, where is my medicine?” This book is about a little boy named George. His grandma is staying with him while his parents are going shopping in the village. George’s grandma is horrid and lazy and really mean to George. George’s mom and dad told George to give his grandma her medicine at 11:00 sharp. She was so grouchy. It is almost 11:00 and George’s grandma keeps on saying, “George where’s my medicine?” Then she asked for tea and so much more. George hates his Grandma. Now George is so mad he decides to make his Grandma a new medicine. He puts everything in it that he can find in the house. Next, he goes to his parent’s room. He looks in all the medicine cabinets that he is not supposed to. He puts everything in a pot and then on the stove and stirs it up. It is almost 11:00. He finishes making the medicine and then puts it in the medicine cup. He gives his grandmother the medicine and she drinks it. Her stomach is on fire. George gets a bucket of water to put the fire out. She blows up. Then she grows taller than the whole house and her legs and arms are SO big. Grandma hasn’t been out of the house in years and now she was. That minute George’s parents came home and said…..
Well you will just have to read the story to find out what George’s parents said!
I love this book because it is really funny. My favorite part was when George’s grandma drank the medicine. My favorite character is the Grandma because she is really bossy and makes the story funny. As I read the book, I felt bad for George because he had to stay with his mean Grandma. I really liked this book because it had a lot of detail and was really good.
This book is good for all ages because it is easy to read and understand. The author Roald Dahl has written many other books. He wrote James and the Giant Peach and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. If you like fiction comedies, this is the book for you.
