This book is about a boy named Matthew but most people call him Moose. Moose lives at Alcatraz, a prison on the coast of San Francisco. Moose's dad works at Alcatraz. Moose's sister is autistic and one day Moose sends a letter to the notorious gangster Al Capone to see if he could get his sister into a special school. Will the noorious gangster Al Capone get Moose's sister in the school? Read the book to find out.

I love this book because at the end it was really exciting when Moose gets a note from Al Capone. My favorite part is when Moose meets prisoner 105. I found Moose interesting because in the book he does a lot of things to get his sister in the school. I like Moose becase he was very brave to send a letter to Al Capone.

If you like historical fiction you'll probably like this book. I recommend the book for 8 -12 year olds because if you're younger you won't understand. If you're older you'll think its boring.
