The Witches

Did you ever see a witch? Did you ever read a book about witches? I have something you should read, the book, The Witches. It’s a really good book. It is about a boy and a grandma who gets revenge from witches. The witches are really bad. They torture kids. They turn kids into mice and they have a plan about turning all the kids into mice and when they go to school they are going to turn into mice. The boy and the grandma live together in Norway. The boy’s mom and dad have just died in a car accident. The boy knows all about witches from his grandma. The witches are bold, they have big fingernails, and they have blue spit that is disgusting. Their toes are a narrow rectangle and their eyes change colors. The boy is only 9 years old. Never go in front of a woman that has changing color eyeballs, a wig, and that wears gloves in the summer.

I thought the book was awesome. I liked it because there was a lot of action. One action part I liked was when the boy/mouse was swinging shelf to shelf. Another action part I liked was when the tail got cut off from the boy/mouse. And that’s why I liked the book. My favorite part was when the boy got formula 86 because it kept me in suspense. I didn’t like the grand high witch because she was going to turn all the kids into mice. The pictures in the book are black and white. I like this book because it was outstanding.

I recommend this book to a 9-10 year old kid because I think they will like it. I also recommend this book because it has a lot of action and I know kids love action. I think this is an excellent book to read. There are also more Roald Dahl books. For example, you can read James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and also more. If you want to read The Witches you should go out, buy the book and the movie, but read the book first. Enjoy.
