The book, Salt Hands, is about a little girl. She hears a sound outside, so she looked out her window. She saw a strange shadow outside. Then, she walked downstairs and found out it was a deer. She put salt in her hands then she walked outside. The deer looked at her for a long time. The little girl stuck her hand out. The deer started to lick the salt out of her hands.
This story reminds me of when I saw a deer. One of my favorite parts is when she gives the deer salt. The illustrations in the book were beautiful.
First and second grade kids should read this book because it is easy and because it will remind them of when they saw a deer.
