Charlotte's Web

The book, Charlotte's Web took place at the Zuckerman's barn. The main character of the story was Charlotte, a spider. There were many supporting characters, but the two main main ones were Wilbur the pig, and Fern who was a little girl. It was about a runt pig who was born on the farm and was rescued by Fern. She raised him, like a baby, until he was old enough to go to Zuckerman's barn with the other animals. This book was fiction. It all started when a runt pig, Wilbur, was born. He was about to be killed because he was so small; but when Fern came along, she raised him until he was old enough and strong enough to be put in the barn. The problem in the book was that Zuckerman wanted to kill Wilbur for Christmas so his family would have pork ham to eat. Mr. Zuckerman didn't see a problem with that because farm animals are raised for food. Wilbur wanted friends because he missed Fern so much. She had always been his friend and talked with him and played with him until he was put in the barn. Charlotte the spider became his friend when none of the other animals would be his friend.

My favorite part of the book was when Wilbur got saved by Charlotte, the spider. Charlotte wrote words in her web and Wilbur became famous, so he wouldn't get killed. People came from a lot of different places to see what would be written about Wilbur. He was even taken to the fair and won a ribbon. Mr. Zuckerman liked all the fame he got because of Wilbur and decided he wouldn't kill him.

I liked this book because there is a lot of saving. It shows what friends should do for each other. Wilbur was saved by Fern and Charlotte and even the rat. This book reminded me of when I went to a barn.

I think you will enjoy this book because it was the best ever! It tells you what you should do if somebody else is getting beat up or just needs a friend. We all need to help each other.
