Mrs. Cooney is Looney

Have you ever heard of a nurse that’s not like a real nurse? I think you met one. It’s Mrs. Cooney! She is like a physical therapist. She puts people in a box! She makes people sing the ABC song backwards with a balloon on their head! That's why A.J., Michael, Ryan, Andrea, and Emily think she is a spy! Find out in the book if Mrs. Cooney is really a spy?........Or not! So read the book to find out!

I think A.J. is wild! A.J. hates school more than anything. He thinks learning is for nerds. He has this girl in school named Andrea, a know-it-all girl. A.J. hates Andrea! A.J.’s wish is to punch Andrea! A.J.’s two best friends are Michael and Ryan and they hate school too! My favorite part is where A.J.’s friends think he’s in LOVE with Andrea. “Ohhhhhh!” Ryan will say. “When are you going to get married?” Michael will say. I think it’s hilarious. For learning, the girls love learning but the boys hate it. The illustrations look like cartoons even though they’re black and white.

I recommend this book to people who hate school. There is a closely related series called Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Greg hates school because of bullies. My Weird School and Diary of a Wimpy Kids are similar because the main characters both hate bullies. Also, I recommend Mrs. Cooney is Looney for people who like to lie and people who like chapter books.
