Pinky and Rex and the Bully

Pinky’s favorite color is pink, but he’s a boy! Kevin is a third grader and he is a big bully. Kevin said to Pinky, “Get up and fight!” and kicked at Pinky so… then Mrs. Morgan came over and pushed Kevin’s hands away. Pinky doesn’t like his name any more because everybody is teasing him. Pinky gave all of his stuffed animals away to his little sister because they all have pink on them. But… Pinky doesn’t want to give all his stuffed animals away. If you want to find out more, go ahead and read this book.

I think that Kevin is hurting everybody’s feelings. He is disrespectful to Pinky. Kevin is a big bully. Pinky and his friend Anthony are in second grade, but Kevin is in third grade. Kevin and his friends annoy Pinky by saying, “OOOh, second graders, I’m so scared.” Kevin says that Anthony might turn into a girl if he plays with Pinky. But inside Pinky wondered if Kevin was right. Maybe he was a girl. Kevin’s friends were mocking Pinky. I think that Pinky is very upset because Kevin is saying strong words that are mean. The illustrations are nice and perfect because they are all different colors. Melissa Sweet does a good job.

I recommend this book to people who like the character name Pinky & Rex because if they like the characters names they might like this book. This book will be good for ages 6 and up.
