The Notebook of Doom: Rise of the Balloon Goons

In this book, Alexander is the main character. I think he’s about seven years old. I think this because he goes to an elementary school. Alexander and his family move away from their home. He goes to a new school. He goes into the school and hears a great big crash! He notices a wall had fallen down. When he’s looking at the wall that fell, he finds a notebook in the dust! A girl walks by and says that the school is being torn down. She says the real school is in the hospital, not the building that Alexander thought was the school. So he goes to the hospital. He walks down to the basement because that’s where his classroom is. He has a nice school day, and ..then he returns home. He wakes up and balloon goons are in his backyard! (Balloon goons are dancing balloons.) One of Alexander's school mates comes over to his house and gets captured! Read this book to find out if Alexander will save his school mate.

One reason I like this book is that it is funny. Another reason is that it is exciting. The last reason is that there are cliff-hangers. This book reminds me of one of my birthday parties because there were a ton of balloons there. My favorite part of the book was when Alexander went to his new classroom.
