Fortune's Magic Farm

“Slug! Slug!” In Runny Cove, it is always rainy and wet. Well, if you like adventures, then you should read Fortune’s Magic Farm by Suzanne Selfors.

To begin with, this story was about a girl named Isabelle, who traveled to where she came from …apparently what she calls nowhere. On her journey to ‘nowhere’, she met a boy named Sage. Sage helped her on her journey. The funniest part was when they got to an island on the back of an elephant seal…that only let you ride him if you gave him a compliment on his ginormous nose.

In addition, I enjoyed this book because the characters are adventurous. Isabelle went on an adventure in the story. I remember when I went to the beach with my friends, and we couldn’t find a way to get home … so we climbed the rocks. That was an adventure! Isabelle also likes to spend time with friends. I remember the day that I went out with friends up in Boston. I feel like Isabelle does by wanting to take care of my friends.

In conclusion, this book is suitable for boys and girls from ages eight to twelve. This is a great class book, so you and your friends can join in on the adventure with Fortune’s Magic Farm!
