The story is about three little bears and three big bears. The three little bears are a family and their names are Cousin Fred, Sister Bear and Brother Bear and the big bears are Mama Bear, Papa Bear and Jane, the bear scout leader. The three little bears were going camping in the spooky forest with Jane, their leader. Papa Bear decided to go to the forest to play a trick on the three little bears, but when Jane found out, she had another idea - she was going to scare Papa Bear. When the three little bears started to doze off, they saw spook number one, who was Papa Bear in disguise. Suddenly, a second spook came out and scared them all! What someone in disguise? Was it the real deal? Find in the story The Berenstain Bears and the Ghost of the Forest.
I like this book because of its illustrations - they are really funny. I think Cousin Fred is silly because he is always scared. I think that Papa Bear deserved the lesson because he told Sister Bear, Cousin Bear and Brother Bear that there were such things as spooks and there weren't - and there never will be.
