The Magic Tree House takes Jack and Annie back in time to the early 1800's. They travel to the Great Plains. They learn how to hunt buffalo from a Lakota boy. The Lakota tribe teaches Jack and Annie all about their customs. It is a very interesting book.
My favorite part of the story is when Jack and Annie stop hundreds of buffalo from stampeding. My favorite character is Jack because he is brave. I learned that everything in life is related.
The pictures in the book help to illustrate the story in great detail. I think others should read this book because it teaches many things about the Lakota tribe.
