Scooby-Doo and the Opera Ogre

Has anyone played a very scary trick on you? Then I think this is the right book for you to read. Scooby Doo and the gang are on their way to see the opera; but when they get there they see that it's on fire. A man tells them there was an opera ogre inside the opera house and Scooby and Shaggy are freaked out. Daphne, Velma and Fred think they can solve the mystery and they set out a trap for the wicked ogre.

My favorite part was when Scooby and Shaggy found a mummy in the actor's closet. I liked the character of the ogre because he was sneaky and could swing on the ropes without making the curtain close.

I think this ogre is like Shrek, the ogre because they both scare people and both are mean. Shrek changed by the end of the story but the opera ogre stayed mean throughout the book.

I have read other books by the same author and they are all similar because the villan is always in a costume like a ghostly gorilla and a howling wolfman.

I recommend this book for first through third grades for those who like adventure books that are exciting to read.
