This book is about a bull named Ferdinand. He was different from the other bulls. He didn't run and butt heads he just smelled the flowers. Then Ferdinand got stung by a bee and went crazy. So he got picked for the bullfight. When he was at the ring he sat and smelled the flowers. Read the book to find out if he gets to go home.
I like the story because I love animals. My favorite part is when Ferdinand sat on a bee because his face looked funny! I think it takes place in the past because they used wagons for cars. The character that I like is Ferdinand because he is different from the other bulls. Ferdinand reminds me of my friend Amanda, because they are both calm. The illustrations look cool because they are lifelike. This book is like the Tale of Despereaux because Despereaux and Ferdinand are both different from their families. A part that made me laugh was when a bee stung Ferdinand because he made the bulls scared of him. This book reminds me of the feeling I get when I take walks with my mom and dad.
I recommend this book to people who like animals. I would think that anyone from first grade and on would like it. I recommend this book to people who like surprises because there is a surprise ending. I also recommend this book to people who like fiction where animals talk.
