What Grandmas Do Best

This book is so sweet! Halfway through the book it tells about what grandmas like to do with their grandchildren. Then you flip the book over and it tells you all the fun things that grandpas like to do with their grandchildren. The book doesn't use drawings of people, but it uses drawings of animals instead. Everything that the animals do with their grandchildren in the book, real grandparents do with their grandchildren.

I love this book because it reminds me of my grandma who lives far away. Whenever I visit my grandma, she is very caring just like the grandma in the story. My favorite part of the story is when the grandma paints a picture with her grandchild. I liked this part best because I really love to paint. The illustrations in this book are bright and colorful. The grandma side uses lots of pinks and lavenders. The grandpa side uses lots of blues and yellows. It reminds me of colors that some girls like and colors that some boys like.

Most first graders could read this book by themselves. I think they would really enjoy it because it's easy to read. It also gives you ideas of things to do with your grandma or grandpa.
