Arthur's Family Vacation

This book is about Arthur and he doesn't want to go on vacation. He thinks he will miss his friends and miss all of the fun that they will be having at camp. Arthur does go on vacation with his family. He stays in a motel and it has a very small swimming pool. They went to a restaurant and ate lobsters. Then it started to rain and they couldn't go to the beach. The baby was crying and Arthur and his sister, D.W. were feeling very sad. What are they going to do now? They can't go to the beach because it is raining! So they have to find other things to do while it is raining. Arthur decides to take his family on a field trip. They go to a cow festival, an alligator farm, a fudge factory, a jungle cruise, and the movies. On the last day of their vacation, the rain stops and they go to the beach. The whole family had so much fun, they didn't want to go home, even Arthur. When Arthur saw Buster, he told him how much fun he had on his family vacation.

Even though this book is part of a series, it is different because the author wrote different stories, so they're not the same. This story is different from the rest.

This story made me feel glad and worried, when it started raining. I worried that they couldn't go to the beach.

I think this book is funny because at the end of the story, Arthur buried D.W. in the sand. And at the end of the story Buster said,"You really had a great time there." This made Arthur feel very good and that made me feel happy.

I recommend this book to all kids who like to read. They will enjoy this book a lot. The ending is very surprising. Read to see how much fun Arthur had on his family vacation!
