Henry and Mudge the First Book

In Henry and Mudge The First Book, Henry really wanted a puppy and finally his parents got him one named Mudge. One day Mudge got lost. Henry felt sad when Mudge got lost in the woods. Henry tried to find Mudge. Cynthia Rylant writes, “He couldn’t smell Henry. He couldn’t smell the front porch.” Henry was calling Mudge. “Mudge where are you?” You’ll have to read this book to find out if they get back together.

I like Henry and Mudge, The First Book because when Henry got Mudge it was exciting. Henry was sad when Mudge got lost and so was I. I can connect with this because I got lost once when I was getting out of school. I felt sad so I know how Henry and Mudge felt.

Henry and Mudge, The First Book is a very sad story. When Mudge was lost, it was sad. If you have a dog you should read this book, because Henry and Mudge are best friends. If you want to know more about this story, read this book!
