The Ink Drinker

Have you ever seen someone suck words out of a book? Well, this boy has a straw and that is what this book is about. A boy's father owns a bookstore. The boy hated books. One day the boy saw a man with a straw going through some books. When the man left, the boy grabbed the same book and saw no words in it at all! If you want to find out how the strange man did that to the book and who the man is, you should read The Ink Drinker.

My favorite part is when the narrator sees the strange man sucking words out of a book with a straw! It was my favorite part because in real life I have never seen anyone sucking words out of a book. This boy reminds me of my cousin because he hated books too. As I read the book I felt mad because I like books!

I recommend this book because it is full of funny adventures. There is also a sequel to this book called A Straw for Two. People who like slurping books should read both of them!
